Dear Family,
Hello
beautiful people! How I miss your faces. Real life, if I saw any of you I
would pet your faces and hug you so tight. Not weird at all, but very
true. How are you all doing?? I love your letters and would LOVE to read
more! Hint Hint!
My week was crazy awesome! :)
On Tuesday we had a mission wide training on technology! Say what? Real life! It was fantastic. DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!
WE GET NEW IPADS!!!!!
What
is this life that I am living? Call me fancy pants. I would have never
thought that I would have an iPad let alone a NEW one!!! So that takes
care of the whole, my old one was cracked and stuff. Hopefully it is the
same size because I got the most beautiful surprise in the mail this
week, the cutest iPad case in all the land. Thanks Krystal!!!
Anywho, this meeting was great! Elder Brent H. Nelson came and we learned the
importance of protecting ourselves from the storms of the internet. Real
life! They have created this new training for social media and iPads!
"God is smarter than Steve Jobs". It is so cool because they want to
protect us from the evil of the world when we got off our mission. Like
so cool that they are training us to stay protected from that stuff
right! Anywho, it was really amazing. He talked about how he was in the
Philippines mission when the tsunami came and how the missionaries were
protected because they were obedient. Helaman 5:12 :) :) :)
So
we will be getting Facebook. I am not sure if I will delete my account
or make a new one. There are strict guidelines for things such as
tagging and photos. I think I would have to remove everything. So we
will see how that goes! I Look forward to learning more about that! :)
We
got to clean the temple this week! I could have stayed in there
forever! We cleaned pretty lights. We took each crystal off and cleaned
them and polished them. Each light took an hour or so, we did 2. I am so excited. It is a tiny little
temple but it is the same everywhere!
We
are teaching an "externagators" aka they have been taught forever. But
we will baptize them! :) They were telling us that they have a lot of
religious friends they come and visit with them. And the next time we
came back we were not alone. We went in the back to pull weeds, so we were in
our service clothes. We got out of the car and it was like "dun dun dun
dun dun" (star wars theme song). My companion turned to me and said, "who is that?". I looked and I responded, "Oh of course. The Jehovah Witnesses" (dun dun dun) . We walked in a d made very small chit-chat with them about the fact that we were
pulling weeds and not in dresses. We went out back and started pulling
weeds. I couldn't help but giggle at the situation....I mean come on
it's pretty funny!!! Hahah :) I am sure someone could make a joke
about it! 2 Jehovah Witness and 2 Mormon missionaries walk into a
bar...oh wait, no that wouldn't happen. :) Hahahah!!
Me and my life! I am doing well. I survived fast Sunday barley. # takeasundaynapformeplease :)
My companion and I get along well!
:) sometimes I feel like I am 12 but really I am 22 so that is hard!
She says I am a PRO! So I will hold onto that compliment humbly. I try
and learn and grow everyday. Oh it was super cute on
Friday we ate pizza because a member dropped it by and we watched "I am a
Mormon" videos. It was a fun Friday and then back to work. We never stop!
And that is good, but I get worn out fast. I am trying to take care of
my body the best I can. :)
I love you all so much. I can feel your prayers. Keep them up. I miss you so very much. 17 months!!
I will hug you all so much. Please be safe and make smart choices. Turn
to the gospel. We are constantly looking for something in our life and I
promise you that if you turn to the gospel--scriptures, talks or prayer
you will find the answer. So keep the faith family. Remember who you are! I also saw a rainbow this week :) We are so close to the other side. :) I have silly pictures! :)
I love you all.
Keep the Faith!
Love,
Sister Rasmussen
